Those who say, “You must honor me!”, and thus insist that tribute be paid them amongst the assembly of the elect, have partnered with the spirit of arrogance and entitlement, for surely have these children readily adhered to a “first among equals” mindset. As such is honor demanded from their fellow brethren instead of allowing for its genuine expression; and so, are those who do not fall into line chastised for their impudent behavior. For certainly it is only right for these church leaders to be shown the proper respect they are due.
Then just as it is with the world, where some who are well positioned lord their higher station over those considered, by them, to be of an inferior status, so too, can that same attitude be found even now in this generation of the church, for some who have been elevated as spiritual leaders amongst the assembly halls of the elect, have set up an operational structure that mainly revolves around them. Thus are the ones viewed as commonplace believers relegated to what is thought of as lower positions of service within the church.
And so does there continue to be an intentional separation amongst My Body. For those charged with leading have set themselves apart like celebrities, who have very little personal interaction with the majority of their congregates. For they believe that responsibility to be beneath them, and as such are only a select few allowed to crossover that delineation line they’ve created (yet even amongst that small sect does the demand for honor exist).
Then like citizens who are governed by the “State” does My Body stand, for surely it is only a few who preside over the majority, and thus think themselves entitled to do so. And so have these modeled the running of their ministries according to that form of worldly construct, even though most would not regard it as such, however the similarities in form and function, cannot be denied.
So while amongst My Body there is not meant to be any form of partiality found, still does it exist, as quite a number now charged with leading have insisted they be esteemed more highly than the rest of the elect, and thus should be set apart like a privileged class. After all, have they not dedicated their lives in service to the Lord, and therefore, should they not be aptly rewarded for making such a significant sacrifice for the building of His Kingdom?
What a self-serving lot are these children. For it is their own egos that they seek to bolster by demanding to be treated as such. For while, in the Scriptures, My own are instructed to show respect to their leaders, the degree to which it is now being demanded by pastors and ministry heads has become an abuse of both position and authority, as none who belong to Me should seek to exalt themselves above another. For it is only the name of Christ alone that should be honored and extolled amongst My household.
Then that voice of entitlement which says “I am due honor”, must be driven out of the Church. For listening to it leads to haughtiness and conceit, which in turn has caused many pastors and spiritual leaders to become puffed up in their own heads, where the ministry they’ve been charged with stewarding has become more about them than about Me.
And so, even now, have I begun to move against this demonically driven attitude that has taken root in the Church. Thus shall many more who have stood upon the platform of “I am entitled”, suddenly be brought down low, as this demand by leaders that they be esteemed amongst the assemblies of the elect does not reflect a Christ-like demeanor. For was it not My Son who knelt down to wash the feet of His disciples? And did He not say that those who desire to be first shall actually wind up being last?
Then you who have been charged with the responsibility to lead should do so in all humility, for surely shall you be held to a higher account than those you are leading. Therefore do not think of yourselves more highly than you ought, but remember that all who belong to My household are counted as fellow servants in Christ, and as such stand upon equal footing before Me.
Then do I say to you who have aligned with this lie of entitlement, “Climb down from that lofty platform upon which you are standing while there is still time. For great shall be your fall if you do not heed this warning, as My hand is shaking loose all that can be shaken! Therefore, amend your ways before it is too late, or you, too, shall be numbered amongst those spiritual leaders that fell into disgrace.”
