I saw this in a dream:
[I was standing in the middle of a battlefield where behind me was a group of soldiers dressed in military fatigues with shovels in hand. Down in a trench they had been digging; quite a few soldiers occupied the trench which was not very big, so digging was difficult. However, they continued to dig.
Suddenly in front of me, a line of enemy soldiers appeared. They had human form but were not of this world. They each had hair that was white and shoulder length wearing gray metallic suits. Their skin was whitish grey, like death.
Because the soldiers behind me were so focused on digging the trench, they hadn’t yet seen the alien beings standing just beyond their position.
I noticed this and so spoke to the soldiers, directing their attention to the enemy’s near proximity to the trench. The soldiers looked up, and upon seeing the enemy asked, “Why are these aliens here?”, to which I responded “They have come to prevent the second resurrection!” ]
The Lord then said to me:
“I say to My children, ‘Stop digging trenches, for it is time for a new battle strategy to be employed. Therefore, grab your sword and climb out of that ditch, for to make significant headway against the enemy’s lines at this particular point in the battle at hand, a different tactic for engaging the enemy must now be used.'”
[I heard “hand to hand combat”, and I saw believers taking to the streets in their communities, laying hands on the sick and casting out demons.]
“For far too long have a good portion of those soldiers who line My ranks hidden in the trenches hoping to avoid any real combat, for they are quite content to leave the fighting up to the small contingent already engaged in battle; thus do they occupy their hands with digging trenches instead.
See then has their preoccupation with digging trenches kept them from discerning the enemy’s main objective, which is to delay the final judgment, so as to avoid, for as long as possible, the execution of the eternal punishment that surely awaits him: that moment when those found standing outside of Christ, those both living and dead, will be called to account for their deeds.
So while victory is assured (for indeed has the enemy already been defeated), still would these soldiers prefer to serve their conscription down in the trenches. For from that position they believe direct contact with the enemy will be minimal, if not at all. Yet like sitting ducks are these soldiers, for the trenches won’t provide the protection they seek as the enemy is well-versed in trench warfare and, therefore, knows precisely when and where to attack so as to catch them unaware.”
[I then saw that the trenches represented self protection, or the attitude of not wanting to get involved. The walls of the trenches were meant to act like blinders, keeping them from seeing the battle ensuing around them. I saw these believers walking through their communities, but they were keeping their heads down and making no eye contact with the people around them.]
“See then am I calling My ranks out from that defensive position, and instead are you to assume an offensive stance, where each of you is ready, upon My command, to launch a more aggressive campaign against the enemy. Thus must your approach be relentless, for the enemy won’t back down until he knows he’s been outmatched. So though he may appear to be a formidable opponent, he can easily be bested by those who walk with Me.
Ah, then none of you were called to hunker down in a trench, and there to remain until your number is up, for you were commissioned to battle the darkness which dwells within your communities, whether that be territorial or lesser in nature, all are to be driven out.
Then do not squander these days by remaining down in the trenches! For in this hour does the opportunity exist to greatly impact your communities for My Kingdom’s sake. Yet to see this supernatural shift, you must abandon your position in the trenches, for it is not trench warfare that shall bring about the results I am after.
Then do I say, ‘Put down your shovels and, instead, pick up your swords! For indeed is war being waged all around you, as the enemy has ramped up his campaign to stall the inevitable. For he has sensed that now there is the opportunity to do so, as those who could impede his progress are much too preoccupied with digging trenches so that they can shelter a safe distance away from the battle fray.’
So do I say again, “Stop digging trenches!”
