My Choice Is Life

A Season Of Rebuilding

Then like a hammer to a chisel, the hand of the enemy has been at work, chipping away over the years at the foundation of this nation, striking here and there, seeking to bring about a total collapse of her Constitutional structure. And though right now it would seem he is about to succeed in his efforts, since this democracy is...

The Workings Of My Hand

"Where can a righteous man be found? Even if the whole earth were searched, who could locate an individual that is upright in all of his ways? Yet, these senators who are presiding over the latest hearings on the hill speak as if the next Supreme Court justice must be Christ himself, for none other would be worthy to sit on the bench..."

It’s Time For Action

As I was in worship, I heard the Lord say this to me: "The fields of this nation are covered with the blood of the innocent because of the choice to destroy human life before it is born. And because those in high places have decreed this choice to murder the unborn as the law of the land, there are unforeseen consequences from the decision..."

FAQs

Abortion isn't in the Scriptures. Or, is it?

Answer: Yes, abortion is addressed in the Bible… however, not in the way most Christians expect. The first mention of abortion is in Exodus 1:16 but it has been, until recently, lost in translation.

Abortion is the "Law of the Land". Doesn't that settle it?

Answer: No, it does not settle it. Just because a law is put into place does not make the law right.. In fact, the Biblical witness indicates that loyalty to God can often mean disobedience to the laws of a land, even the direct command of a king.

What about compassion?

Answer: Yes but no. The terms “gospel” and “compassion” are commonly used to pad a Christian’s pro-abortion argument. But using these terms is not as coherent of a defense as one might think.

How We Interpret Evidence

Before any further studies are posted, I felt it important to comment on the interpretation of evidence, and to explain the research and hermeneutical methods I’ve employed in our current biblical studies—as I will be using them in future studies as well. While the average church attendee might presume biblical interpretative methods...

Signs Of The Times- Part I

“You know how to evaluate correctly the appearance of the sky, but you are not able to evaluate the signs of the times.” ‭‭-Matthew‬ ‭16‬:‭3‬b ‭LEB‬‬ I like signs. They’re very helpful. My family is always amazed at how I know where things are in the grocery store. “Just read the signs,” I reply. Our society is saturated with signs. Road signs, municipal signs...

Signs Of The Times- Part II

Who looks at the sky to understand the signs of the times anymore? Answer: a lot of people, actually. Astrologers are alive and well. Astronomers are plentiful. But Astro-theologians? Few and far between, I’m afraid. I suppose that’s due to the blurred lines that still exist between “Astral” and “Astro” (see: Part I), as well as the scientific elitism..

Lowering The Standards

Prologue   I\’d be remiss to not address the events that have transpired in recent weeks. What with the RNC and DNC Conventions coming and going, candidates dropping out of the presidential race—only to find themselves as part of another campaign—as well as remarks (both past and present) made by said candidates, it all seems […]

The System Is Down

Hardware versus Software When there are isolated malfunctions and separate errors in a system, it is generally the individual component, mechanism, and/or device—a.k.a. the hardware—that is evaluated and either repaired, replaced, or recycled. However, when there are malfunctions and errors that are widespread, occurring frequently in a large number of components, mechanisms, and/or devices (the […]

Unforeseen Consequences

In this glorious modern age, people seem all too eager to jump into things. From relationships and marriages, to credit cards and bank loans—even signing up for a phone plan just to have the latest and greatest smartphone on the market. Now more than at any other point in recorded history, people seem to be […]
