The other day an article came to my attention about an event that is being held this weekend by megachurch pastor, Andrew Stanley, called The Unconditional Conference.
It has been promoted as an event to help ministry leaders and parents of LGBTQ+ children who are seeking support surrounding this issue. One of the goals of the event, as stated by its organizers, is to create “a quieter middle space.”
When I read that line I immediately had a vision of a long line of people straddling a fence. The Lord said to me “They are trying to have it both ways!”
And then I heard this:
It’s time for the hypocrisy to end, and thus shall all who claim to stand for Truth and righteousness be put to the test. For have I not already said that the grace to stand upon the middle ground has ended?
Hear Me then, you appeasers of sin, the hour is nigh upon you when you shall be required to make a firm stand and take seriously My call upon your lives, as surely have you spent too much time straddling the fence, again and again making concessions with evil, and thus has compromise continued to govern your steps. But I say, enough with this form of accommodating behavior!
Yet from your platforms is the enemy’s message being promoted by some who profess to be My representatives, though they have agreed with his distorted version of the truth. And so in many “houses” that claim were erected in My Name has evil been invited to walk in through their front door, and as such, are many in My flock found engaging in that which I have called “profane”.
Ah, but did you think I had changed My opinion about the conduct of My children? Or, have you forgotten that I am the same God of today as I was of yesterday? Then simply because you now dwell under the Covenant of Grace does not mean I have relaxed this line. I have not! And so, even in this current age do I expect My children to adhere to the same standard of holiness I established long ago, holding firm to those precepts regardless of any demonically driven pressure to make allowances for certain forms of sinfulness.
Oh how many of My children have already been led astray because some who were called to lead have actively endorsed worldliness among their congregations, for surely they themselves are found in a compromised state, as most of these so-called spiritual leaders have made it a practice of indulging the appetites of their own flesh.
So while some of you may hold an elevated position amongst My Body (as those thought to have a firm inner conviction), in reality do you stand amongst the backslidden, with those who are walking in disobedience. As such, when the next wave of shaking comes against the church, shall you find it easy to fall away. For the position of straddling the fence is simply an illusion, as it is still true, that no one is able to serve two masters at the same time.
But alas, you still do not regard the precariousness of your position, as the real consequence of this choice to occupy the middle ground has yet to be felt. Therefore, do not think yourself exempt from knowing any fallout from your decision to “straddle the fence”, as the “unforeseen” shall soon issue itself upon your life, thereby forcing you to give your full ascent to one side or the other. Sadly, you whose heart is still found to be non-committal will, when this moment arrives, more than likely settle for the easier choice, as there will appear to be no immediate cost involved with that option. And because your belief in Me dwells upon the shallows of your heart, walking away from our relationship shall not be difficult, as you have yet to regard it as your most treasured possession.
Hear Me then: I am issuing this call to My own for “repentance”, though very few of you “fence-sitters” will listen. Yet there is still time before that moment arrives for you to turn aside from your disobedience and give your whole heart to Me. For I tell you now that when this shaking comes, you will need to have your feet firmly planted in Me, as those who do not shall be like the chaff that is carried off in the wind.
So then, I say to you whose heart has been swayed by compromise, and those who are willfully keeping sin alive in their lives, “Repent”! For surely is this middle ground to which you are adhering, even now, crumbling right out from under your feet. For though it appears sound, it is not made of any form of solid substance, and therefore shall fully collapse from the added turbulence that is soon to be felt upon the earth.
Then again, I say “Repent”, lest you, too, find yourself numbered amongst the chaff! For indeed is there a separation coming to My Body where only those who are true believers shall remain.
