“Liberty and justice for all” was a divinely inspired phrase.
Its meaning reflects the same foundational ideas which govern My Kingdom, as all who dwell under My banner know true freedom: the emancipation of their souls. For when these who were lost stood before the High Magistrate and confessed their guilt, though they deserved the full penalty of death, to each one I gave a pardon, and then cleared their record (since I don’t consider one person better or worse than the other). In My courts there is no partiality because there is only One way to have a sentence commuted, and without Him all men stand as equals in shame.
Although the presumption of innocence can only apply to a person’s life when entering a plea in man’s courts, outside of these civil hearings, every person in history has a guilty verdict hanging over his life. So then, none can stand before Me blameless or faultless, for at the end of all things every human being, without question, will be judged.
Although justice was meant to be blind, often the decisions of those seated as mediators are influenced by their own political and personal preferences, tainting their rulings with prejudice and inequality. Then, when anyone steps before their bench, the scale of justice is already tipped, for every decision a person makes in life is influenced by the truth he carries inside: those ideas of right and wrong which mold and shape his life.
Yet, My scales are equally balanced, so there is not even a smudge of hypocrisy, for I cannot be swayed from My sound position; so mankind can trust Me to be the fair ruler over his life. And though I am well aware of his mistakes, I have suspended rendering a verdict against him until the moment he takes his last breath, because My longing is to see all receive the stamp of forgiveness across their names. Then it is possible for the one who should be indicted to have their debt expunged and their record forever wiped clean.
However, the only way anyone can exit My courtroom without the penalty of a punitive sentence is by invoking My Son’s blood over their crimes. As the Supreme Judge, He is the only arbiter I will allow to represent a single person because He already accepted the shame and guilt for all of mankind. So then, He is the true and rightful Defender who has put to rest forever any charges found against those who come before Me. There is no other sound counsel who can justify a person’s crimes, or give any individual a plausible alibi to sway My opinion. Yet I know without any doubt, that unless My Son has entered their plea, the repudiation of guilt cannot be administered.
As a result, My courtroom isn’t filled with brilliant strategists and legal minds, for I left no wiggle room when creating a settlement. The way to walk out of My chambers with freedom came with only One provision, and without this, no one would have a leg to stand on, and with certainty be found guilty as charged. So, unless an individual chooses My Son as their representative, and requests Him as their Counsel, unfortunately, punishment is all they will know, with eternity being spent separated from My presence.
Then, on that fateful day when forever arrives, every chance to seek His aid will have been lost, as no one can then petition My courts for a ‘stay’ to their sentencing, and therefore must accept the verdict I render against them. Knowing this, it would behoove every individual to seek His help now; for how much better would life be once the weight of guilt is eased? And then, at the end of their days, where facing Me is looming before them, My Son will have already dealt with this legal matter, and I will acquit those He represents of all charges found against them; ushering them into My presence with the word “innocent” written upon their heads because their names were found listed among those who repented and sought forgiveness: those who understood that no amount of reciprocity they could offer would be enough in exchange for all their wrongdoings.
Remember that the process of making amends isn’t a matter of canceling out every awful choice by doing something thought of as “good”, as the very heart of each person contains nothing but selfishness and pride. So therefore, since these attitudes are at the very core of humanity, how could anyone hope to reverse the pending judgment when the internal part of their being is on trial? Here, in the inner man, is where the genuine evidence lies; the place where each person holds darkness. And even though some may be more outwardly kind, it is their intentions and true feelings which concern Me. Therefore, outward appearances do not move Me because it is easy for a person to hide his real colors from others as if masquerading as an impostor.
But unlike a man who can only see with his natural eyes, I can look into the very depths of a person, knowing all the prejudices they have buried, and each wound they have inflicted. However, know that I take no delight in bringing punishment, nor am I eager to render judgment, as I love every person born, without exception. Which is why I created a caveat to wash away the clear and obvious guilt in a man, and meet the full requirement of My justice.
But to accomplish this meant the One who was blameless had to enter the scene with the sole purpose of exonerating the world. And so My Son was born, humble and lowly, yet rose to distinction by becoming the only Mediator between Me and the whole human race. Which is why the only One allowed to enter a defense on mankind’s behalf must be retained before we ever meet face to face, since there will be no “jury of their peers” to deliberate over guilt or innocence, and no witnesses to testify about their fine character. Unless I see the mark of His blood next to their name, there is no argument to be given that can change the final outcome of judgment against them.
But many will question and ask, “What of My love? Doesn’t it hold any compassion?” Or say that I am just waiting to throw the book at most of humanity.
This hard reputation has been unjustly attributed to Me because those who are unremorseful don’t want to break the partnership with their sin, thinking that it’s unnecessary to come forward and repent before their opportunity is taken away. So because assuming responsibility for their own shameful thoughts and deeds is less than appealing, ridiculing Me has become their way of avoiding change. Yet, to have every person arrive in My chambers having already surrendered their lives to My Son is the continual hope I hold for mankind. And though I know there is little chance of this happening, My love is so great towards all who are perishing that I permanently left open the way for any who desire to receive an innocent verdict before reaching the end of their life.
So then, only a simple “Yes” is required when My Son asks if they will accept Him as Savior. And then, from that time on and throughout eternity, those who have agreed solely to this term will stave off their execution, finding no penalty ascribed to their name, and will be numbered among the blameless: those who were absolved of their debt. For what they owed could not be repaid on their own terms and needed My Son to redeem and exonerate their souls, and to secure the right reputation as one who is guiltless. Therefore, these must be restored through His blood, so that any and all who have been disposed to commit selfish acts are proclaimed “innocent”, and known as those who are not bound by the power of sin and death anymore.
