The admonition of the Lord, who will receive it? Who will take to heart My words of correction and then amend their ways? Very few, it would appear! Even still do I make My Will known so that none can claim to be ignorant of it. Sadly then are My words of admonition often treated as false or even called demonic by those who refuse to change their ways. And so upon deaf ears do My admonitions fall, for words of encouragement are all these children are willing to receive. Therefore do they continue down a path of their own making, for to adjust their course is something they are unwilling to do.
See then do these children run from here to there looking for someone who will affirm their choices, for then they can justify their decision to actively rebel against Me. So though I have laid a sure path for their lives, however, because to journey down it requires the death of self, these children have selected a course that, to them, appears much more appealing, for it has led to destinations of their own choosing. As such are they occupying ground that was never intended for them, thus preventing them from fully becoming who I have called them to be. Sadly, have these children settled for a lesser existence than the one I had planned for them, and so diminished shall be their experience of Me.
Although there is still time for these children to amend their ways, the longer they travel down that path of their own making, the more difficult will course correction become, for there is a point along their current path, when once reached, shall require drastic measures be taken in order for them to realign with the proper heading. Yet most of these children will choose instead to meander about for the rest of their days, for partial obedience shall continue to govern their steps.
So while to these children have I clearly stated My intentions for their lives, yet they are unwilling to assume the humble posture of surrender and allow Me to lead them, for indeed they are a stubborn lot. Thus, like the Israelites of old, have they hardened their hearts against Me, for these children are found saying to themselves, “I will have it my way!”, instead of asking Me for direction. And so around and around the same mountain shall they traverse, for little has changed within their hearts.
So though across salvation’s threshold these children did cross, yet because they will not submit to My authority, the sanctification process every believer is called to undergo has, in them, been stalled, for they would reject My admonition even if it were to come from someone they highly esteem and respect. And so spiritually immature do they remain, and thus cannot process the weightier food of the more mature. As such is milk all these children consume, for they only desire to hear words that are more palatable and easy to swallow.
And so like prodigals are these children behaving, for surely have they squandered that which they’ve been given, for days, weeks, months and even years have they spent going their own way, instead of surrendering to My good and perfect will for their lives. So though I have pointed to the direction I would have them go, these children act as if I have said nothing to them at all and, therefore, simply do as they please. However, they have yet to recognize where their ongoing defiance shall lead, for there are obstacles ahead that could have been avoided would they have chosen not to ignore My words of correction.
Then with that warning in mind, these children should immediately halt their forward progression and turn back from the path of their own making. For to maintain its trajectory shall only lead them farther and farther away from My vision for their lives; as even now is that gap growing ever wider. Even still do these children think themselves to be a better judge of what is best for their lives, and so only seek Me out to receive an endorsement of the plans they have already made. Yet when an admonishment is what they receive instead, these children turn the other way, for they are not open to hearing any words of correction.
So while they may continue to travel down the path of their own making, My feet shall not be moved from the spot where I am standing, for My mind will not be changed about the course they are to follow. Therefore, it is they who need to amend their ways and not I. As such let these wayward children even now abandon the path of their own making and realign themselves with the one I have established for them to follow, for it shall lead them to the wide open space of their destiny. Yet the choice is up to them!
Thus do I say to these wayward children, “Let go of the reins and stop trying to control the outcome of your lives! For the destiny I have in mind shall only manifest once you have fully surrendered to Me. Then do I say, “Turn back from the path of your own making, for it shall not lead to where you had hoped.”
