Dry
Arid
Even parched are the banks of Hebron, for surely has very little rain touched her ground. And so, like an empty basin does she sit, void of any fresh water.
A state of drought
Perpetually so
Thus does the well that was dug there long ago now sit all but abandoned, for surely did early followers of My Son inhabit that region, and through them was a divine tributary established.
Forgotten
Unattended
Thus does Hebron sit
As such have her oak trees withered away. And now, very little life can be found amongst her branches, for most of her limbs are rotting with decay.
Desolate
Barren
A virtual wasteland. For vacant of any real hope sit the hearts of her people, as indeed have they denied the Truth. For like the Judaizers of old, have they, too, rejected the true Messiah, the One who was sent to save them.
Neglected
Weed-infested
Like a garden that has been abandoned
Root-bound
Tangled
Thus is the soil of Hebron. For surely are the roots of those weeds deeply entrenched in her ground. And so has the supply to that divine tributary been nearly choked off, for long have the enemy’s forces occupied that spiritual terrain.
A divide
A chasm
Carved out by decades of hatred
Unbridgeable
Irreconcilable
Or so it has been thought. As such, Hebron remained split in two. For it would appear that achieving peace between the two sides to be an impossible task. For the fires of hostility have yet to be quenched, as both claim the right to occupy her land.
A tempest is brewing
Dark
Foreboding
Yet even now can its presence be felt
Escalation
Increased violence
Surely should the citizens of Hebron seek a safe shelter from the impending storm. For the enemy of their souls has come to wage war against them and destroy many more lives in the process, as it is his desire to snuff out any last flicker of light left among her people.
An urgent matter
Of vital importance
Thus should the trouble brewing in Hebron be treated and, as such, should My warriors gird themselves up for battle.
Swords drawn
Shields raised
It’s time to march upon Hebron! For surely does there still lie within her the possibility to revive that river of living water that was established so long ago. Therefore, am I calling My warriors to contend over the ground of Hebron so that the enemy’s plan to snuff out any chance of revival fails at the onset.
A cistern
Deep and wide
Yet not dug by natural hands
However, its supply shall never run dry for it is divinely sourced. As such are My intentions for Hebron. For I desire to do a mighty work amongst her people, where those who were once hostile towards even the mere mention of My Son’s Name have, instead, bowed before Him in surrender to His Lordship.
Declare
Proclaim
Let My warriors now make bold their assertions, pronouncing as if it were already so, that Hebron belongs to the Lord! For it is time to put the enemy on notice that I am wise to his scheme, and so shall be launching an aggressive campaign against him.
Assemble
Stand at the ready
For rapid shall be your deployment. Therefore, pay close attention! For very soon shall I release the fuller scope of My battle plans for delivering the ground of Hebron from the enemy’s hands. And so do I say to My warriors, “Assemble! For the hour has arrived to lay claim to that region known as Hebron!”
