If the Church is not careful, they will snuff out the fires of revival that have begun burning upon the earth. For just as it was with past revivals, so shall it be again, where the agendas of man, and the more religious, act as a retardant which shall stifle that holy flame and thus curtail its spread.
See then, most of what has already been seen, those occasions which have been counted as “revival”, were actually only emotionally driven affairs, for surely amongst the current company of believers is the term “revival” being liberally applied to more than a few of their gatherings. And while those events may have been touted as supernaturally fueled, those gatherings were simply staged events, as the atmosphere was heavily manufactured instead of being Holy Spirit led. Even still have the fires of revival been lit.
However, the groundswell of that supernatural blaze cannot be orchestrated by the hands of men, though some spiritual leaders have already sought to proclaim themselves as its source of origin. Yet, what should be rightly understood, is that this fresh outpouring of My Spirit, I shall not pour into that old and outdated structure known as the “modern day church”. For the “old” and the “new” were not meant to co-mingle, as too many contaminants exist in that old wineskin, and as such, will surely act to corrupt the new wine I am pouring out in this hour. Yet because those corrupting agents will only serve to dilute the flow and flavor of that new wine, thus must the old wineskin be discarded altogether, with no traces of its existence left remaining.
However, even now are those Church leaders working to subvert the move of My Spirit. For surely have they appointed themselves as the only true arbiters of all that is holy and, therefore, think it is their task to oversee and even manage the move of My Spirit. See then, are they actually operating in conjunction with an opposing spirit, and so are standing in opposition to My Will. Ah, but in My courts shall these Church leaders be held accountable for those acts of rebellion.
Then the same stifling behaviors which occurred during the previous revival, if not dealt with now, shall arise again during this current revival, where, for fear of losing control of their platforms, Church leaders again hinder the ability of Holy Spirit to freely flow amongst their gatherings in an attempt to contain the spread of His flame. For surely are these leaders resistant to the idea of discarding that old wineskin, as they are content with the current form and function of the Church.
Then those resistant attitudes must now be subdued. For though a Great Awakening is called to unfold upon the earth in this hour, the interference of man shall hinder its reach and thus cause the current fires of revival to taper out prematurely. So while a great multitude shall be caught up in that blaze, the amount of those engulfed by that supernatural flame will be considerably less if the agendas of man and the more religious are allowed to prevail.
Then to prevent a similar outcome from happening again, where this unfolding revival falls short of its mark, the warfare of My children must be aimed upon “what is to come”. Thus are they to contend against that opposing spirit which is looking for those who will partner with his wicked scheme to snuff out the flame of revival that was recently lit. Thus should a volley of warfare be aimed directly at that enemy target, so that his plan is stopped dead in its tracks. For then shall that fire of revival spread unobstructed.
Pray against the vice grip of influence that dark force has upon the hearts of many Church leaders. Declare it is even now broken so that they are not swayed by his demonic suggestions which shall push to contain the move of Holy Spirit amongst their gatherings. Declare that space be free of any chains: those which are linked to the need of self-preservation and the inclination to maintain the past. Pray that the spiritual vision of those Church leaders would be renewed so that their sights rest upon the greater vision of building My Kingdom instead of their own.
So then contend, dear ones, contend! For though that Great Awakening shall surely manifest as promised, that doesn’t mean its unfolding shall not be met with demonically driven resistance. As such, must you contend now so that the spread of its flame is not quenched before the borders I have set for its spread are reached. Therefore, do not labor under the false impression that man’s freewill shall have no impact upon its final outcome. For the agendas of man, and of the more religious, shall again be useful tools in the enemy’s hand as a way to impede the spread of revival’s flame.
Then do I say again dear ones, “Contend now over what is to come!”
