The shallow depths of My presence are where the immature linger, for the faith they possess has not yet progressed and, as such, does their spiritual understanding remain stunted. For to more fully comprehend My ways requires stepping out beyond those shallower waters of encounter.
[I heard: “The reef of discouragement”.]
Yet for some of My children, those who are still wading in the shallower depths of My presence, has discouragement settled in their hearts, acting like a barrier, one that they have accepted and thus has kept them from venturing any further into the waters of faith; and so do they remain in an immature state.
And while stepping beyond that reef might, at times, seem appealing, those ideas are soon squelched by the voice of discouragement, as that dark spirit was sent to dissuade these children from ever attempting to leave the security of the shallows. For surely the tide within the confines of that reef is much more predictable than that which flows in the expansive waters just outside its borders.
And so, as if surrounded by that craggy reef of discouragement, do those children exist. For long have they listened to the counsel of that dark spirit and, as such, count as foolish any of their fellow brethren who have dared push past that barrier of unbelief. For who can say what unexpected difficulties lie on the other side, where the current is much stronger, and the waves appear insurmountable?
So though it is possible for each of My children to experience My presence in new and increasingly more profound ways, most are content to remain in that shallow pool of faith. For, to them, to break free seems much too taxing an endeavor, as, surely, taking such a risk would be the cause of unwanted disruption in their lives, for the only path forward would involve diving into the depths of the unknown where their faith is sure to be challenged. For who can rightly discern what dwells beneath the surface of those deeper waters, as the very bottom of that seabed can no longer be clearly seen?
Ah then, it would seem the only reason for those children to remain in that stagnate state is their own unwillingness to act. For if I have said that all of My children are invited to encounter more of My presence, yet those children decline My kind offer, then they are to blame for their deficient condition. For are not each of My own still agents of free will? Therefore, it is up to each one to accept My invitation, and thus press back against the voice of discouragement and his lies of limitation.
Hear Me then, you who are bound to the confines set by discouragement: “It’s time to topple that barrier over. For limitation is not your portion! Therefore, stop listening to him. For his goal is to hinder the development of a deeper relationship between us, and thus has he been relentless in his efforts to keep that from happening; and so has he continued to whisper words of doubt into your ear, those that elicit a sense of misgiving when it comes to advancing our relationship!”
Again do I say, “Stop listening to him! For I shall do you no harm!” Thus do I say, “It’s time to give discouragement the boot and dive deeper into the space of My presence! For surely am I waiting for you here!”
