“The pen is mightier than the sword” is a statement which rings with real truth, for this clause speaks of the power words have to persuade an individual to change his opinion. For a tangible weapon of battle won’t sway a person’s true beliefs, as even those held captive as prisoners of war are not apt to switch their real allegiance even when beaten or facing possible death. Violence is not the engine that motivates a heart to change, but it is with persuasive words that a person’s mind is turned. Even if the whole truth is not spoken, a lie couched in reasonable sounding sentiments can lead a man to believe anything. For it’s the tongue that holds the real power, since the words spoken from a person’s lips, though invisible, paint, with each syllable and phrase, a picture that engages the thoughts of the hearer, oftentimes becoming imprinted on the individual’s heart to form the core beliefs inside which are used as guides for life.
Then, if the message spoken is full of human philosophies, which direction is the hearer pointed? If what is being said does not ring with Truth, will the one listening be guided into life everlasting?
Therefore, My children should carefully consider their words before speaking, because a careless word spoken here or there really does matter, as only the foolish let their tongue off the leash to run wild by expressing whatever thought comes into their heads. It’s those words spoken in haste which seldom accomplish anything worthwhile, and usually cause damage to the heart of another. So, since the words are the most potent tool to influence another, My children should always be prepared to give an answer, offering those expressions that proclaim the kind love of the Savior. For to verbally profess His greatness are the most powerful words a person can utter because contained within these confessions of faith flows the impartation of divine revelation which can forever alter a person’s fate, as the very core of his beliefs are transfixed by the piercing words of unyielding Truth.
Therefore, My own should avoid being lukewarm when expressing the freedom they have been given, living as those who are no longer condemned, but who walk with the upright and the just. Then, to translate just how exceptional was this sovereign gift to humanity, I place a good dose of anointing upon each of My children, so that when they share about the wonders of salvation, and about their relationship with Me, an undeniable knowing resonates in the heart of the hearer, challenging what he or she already perceives to be true.
So, if what rolls off the tongue can hold this much weight, shouldn’t it be carefully guarded by My own? Shouldn’t they take the time to consider the words coming out of their mouths? For the wise withhold comment until they have something to contribute that is worthwhile to say, and therefore, My children should refrain from speaking out whatever comes to mind, so as not to stumble or lead others astray.
Then, entreat others to partake of the bread which brings abundant life, using the speech that arises from the Spirit, for it is not with dry theological banter that a person’s heart is changed. Yet, the light of My love wasn’t meant to shine solely through compassionate acts, as these moments of kindness, designed to physically demonstrate My affection, should be backed up with words that convey the true sentiments of My heart. Though the witness of this is often shown first through acts of consideration for another, these circumstances, however, are meant to open up a dialogue about Me. For when someone sees they are truly valued, then these individuals will be more apt to listen when the Truth is being spoken. It is when My own dare to behave in an unselfish manner by preferring the needs of another before their own, that this ‘unusual’ behavior is often the first introduction to the possibility of My existence.
However, these random acts alone are not enough to bring about repentance, for it is words of Truth spoken by the ones who have already encountered My goodness which have the greater power. Their pleasant words, dripping with the sweet honey of Heaven, is the dialect flowing from My Kingdom, delivering edifying words that assure a soul they are loved.
Then, it is My children who are sent to express this affection, accurately depicting My disposition towards mankind, verbally presenting Me in a way that must be absent of condemnation and judgment, for the message of the Cross holds no animosity whatsoever. So, the ways of addressing a person’s eternal condition should not have even a hint of rebuke, as the old ways of stern finger pointing makes Me seem rather rigid and unfeeling, causing many to assume I am more focused on punishment, rather than grace and forgiveness.
Acts of service were joined together with words of compassion so that the manifold witness of My love is tangibly demonstrated towards others, where brethren and strangers alike, are both embraced in the warm gestures of fellowship so that the first impression of My affections are expressed through your conduct. But don’t let it stop there, for being overtly polite or kind may certainly draw someone’s attention, yet unless at some point the Truth is spoken, the only impact these will know is your reputation for being kind. For though these may see the difference in the attitudes which characterize My own, until I am mentioned, and redemption is offered, how can anyone know the way to be saved?
Therefore, the compelling words of My love must be expressed, as this is how My Kingdom is built here on earth. My true intentions can be best expressed through both showing and telling. To reveal the reasons behind a compassionate lifestyle is a must, for even the heathen can perform acts of charity with helping hands, but what further hope do they offer?
This is why My own should not hesitate to share from their hearts about who I am and how a relationship with Me has changed their lives. So don’t shy away from demonstrating My love through humble interactions, for within these moments of sincere concern for another, seeds of Truth can be planted or watered, continuing the germination process of faith until the time when new life springs forth. For some were meant to plant, and some were meant to water, so that when the one sent to harvest comes along, these hearts are ready to accept the Savior. All of My own, without exception, should see themselves as messengers from My Kingdom, as within each of you lies the Hope many are missing.
Therefore, let this Hope shine like a beacon in this world so that those who are lost are drawn to its bright glow, just as the moth, a fragile creature which is drawn to a flame, finding the warmth of this blaze irresistible, helplessly attracted to its continuous illumination.
Then, let your lives speak of My love. Let the message of the Gospel be spoken through both words and actions (but don’t simply rely on good conduct). For the Truth must be spoken and proclaimed to every generation so that those who walk upon the earth in each successive era may find the path which leads to real Life.
My own should not be afraid to be thought of as foolish, but be forthcoming, and with boldness declare the Truth that has saved them. For a greater emphasis should be placed on rescuing those who are perishing than on your own reputations. If you are to be regarded aversely by anyone, let them have no doubt in Whom you believe, for when those who may have mocked you find themselves at the end of their rope, these may even seek you out for guidance as I will remind them of the faith you shared.
So to My own, I say, when you are out and about during your day, be prepared for My Spirit’s prompting, for He is eager to guide you to where Hope needs to be administered; the dwellings of those who need some refreshing waters poured upon their heads. Don’t turn away from His urgings, but embrace His suggestions as carefully planned and orchestrated moments where Heaven and earth were designed to meet, where the one found in this divine intersection comes face to face with their Creator: the One who has been waiting for a very long time to make their acquaintance. Relish the importance of these moments, and let your actions break open the way to a verbal exchange that points to the Truth (yet not filled with verbose language or carefully crafted arguments, for My own needn’t rely on their own knowledge or strength to share with another about My grace).
So, set aside all the excuses that keep you from telling another what My Son has done for you, and this world! For each of you is more than equipped and qualified to testify about His perfect love and how it was given for all of humanity so that the fullness of God could be known even today.
Then, to My own: don’t be afraid to share your faith now, for I did not only call those who carry Biblical degrees to express the Good News. Remember that the current circumstances reveal the true definition of what constitutes the “Church”; that it is not about a building, it’s about people, My people: each of those who believe in My Name. Know that each of you is called to preach this Gospel Message through not only your actions but also your words. My Spirit enables you to do both, so lean on Him for understanding, and He will guide you both to do and to speak what is needed in those moments of planting, watering, and harvesting.
