There is an apathy that has settled within My Body that has caused some of My children to sit back on their haunches when they should be pressing into Me. And so, because of this sluggish attitude, a complacency has formed in many believers found in this nation towards their journey of discovering more about who I am, as well as, their pursuit of My Presence. Attending church has become like a tradition, and reading the Scriptures somewhat of a duty, causing the atmosphere around these to feel rather stale, as if a dry desert wind was blowing across their land. This lack of enthusiasm has kept many of My own from enjoying the sweeter flavor of an ‘abundant life’ which comes from knowing Me on an intimate level.
So, in order to shake these out of their stupor, revival must be felt amongst My Body, so that those who have been lulled into sleep are awakened, as well. For as this wave of My goodness washes over this land, the refreshment it brings to those who are stagnating will renew a sense of excitement, one that becomes contagious as more and more in the Church are overwhelmed by the waters of My ‘high tide’ flowing in. For I desire to see a resurgence rise in this nation where the greater portion of My Body has found joy in Me again.
But to experience the manifestation of this ‘transition of renewal’ within My children means that those believers who are already partaking of these fresh waters must press into Me with more fervor and intensity until I send this wave rushing in upon them. For is there any more worthwhile cause than for My own to assert their efforts to see My goodness flood over their nation, where even the multitudes of the lost are keenly affected by this surge of My Presence?
Unfortunately, just thinking or speaking about revival won’t actually usher it in. For, in the past, this renewal only came because some of My own were found humbly postured and interceding on behalf of their country. It was the unyielding faith they held which moved Me to act, causing a spiritual awakening to manifest during those days. And though many of My children are hoping to experience a powerful and fruitful season like that in their lifetime, in their hearts, this idea has become only a wish, and not something they actually believe will break open. Because many believers have yet to encounter My splendor on their own, they see revival as if it were just a legend, or a mystical story told by the older sect of something that happened long ago that is unlikely to repeat itself; like a distant tale of something profound that is not relevant for today’s Christian culture.
But what if during this new season My desire is to re-awaken My own: those who have been sitting with dry bones: those whose hearts have lost the wonder and excitement of being a child from My Kingdom? Would those in the Church who are still filled with the fire of faith press in and intercede for their brothers and sisters so that fellow believers are revitalized in their beings?
Oh, how glorious these days will become! For when the majority of the Church experiences this reignition of My Spirit inside their hearts, then the darkness that has been allowed to hover over this land will be filled with light, causing the flow of evil to be averted, so that those being pulled by its influence are suddenly set free as the gift of salvation was offered to them by those who previously had been conflicted about, or uninterested in, sharing their faith.
The main focus of this renewal is to have those who have grown cold in their belief experience again a heart stoked with the fire of My Spirit. For many who had accepted My Son as Savior have either walked away from our relationship, or have settled in with a more lukewarm disposition, where going to Church is seen as an obligation, and our relationship has been put on their list of chores; defining ‘their’ way of serving My Kingdom.
But what My heart truly longs for are people who are eager to seek Me, and who, even when they just think about Me, find delight. The relationship I long to have with each of My children is one that is never dull, because they have learned to look at life with a Kingdom mindset, understanding that every obstacle they encounter is an opportunity for transformation. An understanding where, in earnest, they forge on with Me, because growth and maturity is our common goal. It is, therefore, important to see all of My children moving forward in this sanctification process. For as we journey this course, not only is inner growth from greater intimacy established between us, but on the other side of each obstacle, the gain in resemblance to My Son is great.
However, because many of My own have misunderstood the internal significance behind each challenge brought forth, they have become disillusioned, as their perspective of these obstacles only rested on the surface of each struggle or issue. Then, in order to restore our relationship with a new level of zeal, where the enthusiasm they carry for Me becomes contagious, this revival must appear. These within ‘My Body at-large’ must develop an anticipation and eagerness to see and experience My glory like never before, bearing witness to a revival that cannot be outmatched by those known to previous generations of men. And though many will not consider this prophetic promise to be true, it is those who have a greater faith that will usher this resurgence into their land. Those of My own who believe a revival in My Body is possible, should not simply linger in hopeful thoughts, but actually put to the test their trust in Me by standing on this promise in prayer. For if these who are faithful will cry out to Me for their nation, then suddenly an unleashing of My Presence will flood this land and fill My Body with a renewed hunger and passion to know Me more deeply, which, in turn, will breed a sincere desire to see those who are lost retrieved from darkness.
It is the love bubbling up inside My own which cannot be squelched, since it originates from an eternal source, where an endless supply is available; one that, for all who encounter this kindness, can liberally drink and be filled with its goodness. None ever need experience a drought in their spirit because within Me there exists only abundance: meaning there is more than enough of My Presence for every one of My children to partake of and be satisfied. Within My heart lies this desire to lavish this love upon humanity (though I know only a number will accept Me). Yet, this longing still burns inside Me.
So then, to gather to Me those whom I call “chosen” means, at times, revival must come into a region or nation; not only for those counted amongst My body to experience a resurgence, but that those who are still sleeping are awakened from their slumber and gathered in with the rest of My children: those known as sons and daughters of My Kingdom.
Then, to those who are found in faithfulness now: Stand on this promise of revival! For if you will turn to Me in belief, then you will see what was thought impossible become a reality! So stand on this promise and contend for your nation, as I am ready to release this flood of My goodness across this land!
“For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.” -Isaiah 57:15
